Why is it called Super Bowl XLV instead of VL?

Alright so isn't XLV ( 50-10+5) the same as VL ( 50-5 ). The reason I'm asking is because VL is the more correct Roman Numeral because it's less complex. So wouldn't it be Super Bowl VL.
