Why did Kathy Lee Gifford leave the today show?

I don't think she left. I saw her on there 2 days ago and I honestly think she wouldn't leave the spotlight again. She regretted quitting the Regis show years ago and now she is having a second chance at morning tv. I think she's still on the show with Hoda.
