What stage in the demographic transition model is guatemala?
That's a very hard question to answer. We have such an ambiguous economic system with no middle cl. While some areas are developing, other areas are completely developed and some quite frankly will never develop. I'd say based on my knowledge of statistical birth and death rates and the economic climate we're somewhere around a 3, but I'm only basing my answer on visual umptions and what I know rather than solid statistics. It's hard to compile accurate statistics in Guatemala because of the difference in social statuses. Such a study could be conducted in the City, but outside the Capital it would be nearly impossible. I hope that helps. It didn't look like anyone else took a shot at your question so I at least wanted to help you with an educated guess.
