Cricket question Can fielders use gloves?

Can fielders use gloves? if so, how are they? is the wicketkeeper obligated to use a mask or helmet? Let's suppose I caught the ball from 20 feet from the wicket, if a throw to the wickets and knock them down while batters run, is that legal?
