Extreem power?

Well, Monday I got a shot extreem pain. I have never been able to use the power that I have before this. Afterward I was able to do a ton of things that are paranormal. Why would that give me pain and put me out of action for 3 days? I don't get it! I'm supposed to be used to this kind of pain! I never flinch when I get hit, yet I fall to this... Was this just my body creating a larger rift for my power? PLease explain.
